Visit to Red Dot Museum on 1 November 2011

This is my very first trip to the museum. The first thing I associate it with when stepped into the museum is Tokyo's Toyota Universal Design Showcase.

Design is never a boring discipline, it's a discipline to train the mind to think out of the box and to see from others' perspectives. Sometimes, there are lots of guessing games, too!

There are only 2 Red Dot Museums in the world, one in Germany and one in Singapore! Wow!

In the spirit of recycling... Hm... in terms of practicality?

Someone asked, "Can I take a seat here?"
    Hm... what do you think?

Interesting "3D" design of a gift bag...

How come I don't see this in the market?

Nice! Nice! Not forgetting the "art" in "art" :)

I like this! Do you know what is it?

A combination of visual and scientific art...

Who says that plants must grow up right? Let's head the ground...

    "Food Art"... Food for Thoughts...

The tap need not be stuck to the sink at all times...

    The inside of the museum...

    A series of thematic postcards

    Two-in-one books

    Puzzled lamps....

Apple Learning Journey @ Nanyang Girls' High (2011, October 10)

Here are the tweets generated during the 4-hour session.
    (so... read from bottom up
Personally, I have not 'discovered' any mentioned or highlights on the pedagogy aspects, as Kevin had pointed out, I learnt more about the sexy device (i.e. the iPad) and that has helped to motivate me further to explore and bringing the device into classroom.

While the presenters (be them from Apple or the school) emphasized that the 'magic' doesn't come from the device, but somehow iPad took the limelight :)

Anyway, the technical session turned out to be a useful exploratory session for a rookie like me :)
